TRIBUTE
TO
RICK NOLTE
POLK COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD

 Statement of Condolences

Our heartfelt prayers go out to the family of Rick Nolte, a dedicated Polk County School Board member whose unwavering commitment to Faith, Freedom, and Family left a lasting impact on our community. Rick was a true conservative whose leadership reflected deep conviction and principled service. May his legacy continue to inspire those who believe in the values he championed, and may his loved ones find comfort in the strength of their faith and the support of those who mourn with them.
One of My Most Meaningful Photos
By Dr. Ed Shoemaker PhD

This image captures a powerful moment in Florida’s conservative movement: Rick Nolte, newly elected school board member, being appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Republican Party of Florida’s State Executive Committee.
Rick’s appointment wasn’t just symbolic—it was a statement of conviction. From the beginning, Rick was true to his word. You always knew where he stood. Faith, Family, and Freedom weren’t just talking points—they were his compass.
In a time when clarity and courage are often in short supply, Rick brought both to the table. His leadership reminded us that integrity still matters, and that public service should be rooted in principle, not politics.

This photo reminds me why we fight for what we believe in—and why it’s worth celebrating those who stand firm when it counts.

As we await the appointment of a new member to the Polk County School Board by Governor Ron DeSantis, it's important to recognize the significance of the seat being filled. Rick Nolte didn't just serve—he stood. He stood for Faith, for Freedom, for Family, and for the kind of unwavering conservative principles that our community deserves.

Whoever steps into that role will have some very big shoes to fill. It's not enough to occupy a seat; they must earn the trust of those who supported Rick because of what he represented. That means standing firm in conviction, being transparent in purpose, and never losing sight of the values that built this great state.

This appointment is more than procedural—it's a chance to continue a legacy of bold, principled leadership. Our children, our families, and our future depend on it.
